You will learn why your products do not appear when people shop inside ChatGPT, and how to fix it in about four weekends: a feed audit, a data cleanup, a Google Merchant Center connection, and cash-on-delivery handling — roughly PKR 40,000–80,000 if an agency does it, close to free if you do it yourself.

Picture this. A customer opens ChatGPT and types “best unstitched lawn suit under PKR 8,000 with cash on delivery.” The assistant answers with specific stores, prices, and links. Your store sells exactly that, at exactly that price, with COD across Pakistan — and it is not in the answer. Pakistan’s online shopping market reached an estimated $14.11 billion in 2026, growing at 9.7 percent a year through 2029, according to Research and Markets estimates reported in August. The shoppers are there. The question is why your catalog is not.

First, find out whether you have a product feed at all

A product feed — a structured file that lists every product you sell, with its title, price, availability, image, and unique product code — is the document shopping systems read before they decide to show anything. ChatGPT Shopping, Google Shopping, and Amazon’s ad systems all read feeds first and websites second. If your products are not in a clean feed, they effectively do not exist on those surfaces, no matter how good your website’s SEO is.

Here is the part most store owners miss: if you run your shop on Shopify or WooCommerce, a feed probably already exists. Shopify generates one inside the Google channel; WooCommerce builds one through its WooCommerce Products Feed-style plugins. Most Pakistani store owners have never opened the app that generates it, which means the feed exists but is full of old prices, missing sizes, and products that sold out months ago. For most Pakistani stores, invisibility in ChatGPT Shopping is not a platform problem. It is a data problem sitting inside an app nobody audits.

The analogy is the wholesale market on Hall Road. Traders who hand buyers a typed, current price list get orders; traders whose card says “prices on request” get skipped. Your feed is that price list. Shopping systems skip you when yours is missing, stale, or incomplete — for the same reason, with the same result.

Then, clean up the product data itself

Open your feed — or export your catalog — and check five fields on every product. Titles must name what the item actually is (“Khaadi-style unstitched lawn 3-piece, embroidered, size M”), not internal codes (“ART-4471-BLU”). Prices must be current PKR numbers, not “on request.” Availability must be true; a feed that offers sold-out items teaches systems your store wastes shoppers’ time. Every product needs one clear image on a white background. And each item should carry its GTIN — the global barcode number printed on the product packaging — wherever one exists, because matching systems use it to know your listing and the brand’s listing are the same object.

Messy data has a hard consequence: disapproval. When Google Merchant Center rejects items for policy or data violations, those products simply stop appearing, and many owners never notice — the reasons and fixes are laid out in Merchant Center feed disapprovals and shopping ads for Pakistani stores. Start with your 50 bestsellers rather than the whole catalog. Cleaning 50 products properly beats exporting 5,000 badly, because shopping systems reward accuracy per item, not volume.

Next, connect the feed to Google Merchant Center

Google Merchant Center — Google’s free platform where you upload and verify your product catalog — is the plumbing that carries your feed into Google Shopping, Shopping ads, and, increasingly, the shopping layers that AI assistants draw from. Setting it up costs nothing but time: claim your store domain, upload the feed, wait for approval, and fix the first wave of rejections. September 2026 reporting from Search Engine Journal shows ChatGPT Shopping results leaning hard on feed-integrated sources, which means the stores AI assistants recommend are largely the stores whose feeds are complete, priced, and live.

If this setup is new to you, the full walkthrough lives in why Pakistani stores need Merchant Center setup in the AI search era. Give the connection two weeks to stabilize before judging results — feeds refresh on a schedule, not instantly, which means today’s upload is next week’s visibility.

After that, make cash on delivery part of the listing

Pakistani ecommerce runs on COD — commonly reported at more than 90 percent of domestic online orders — plus JazzCash and Easypaisa wallets. Global shopping systems were not designed for this, so you have to say it explicitly: put “cash on delivery available across Pakistan” in product descriptions and shipping attributes, state delivery times by city (Karachi and Lahore 2–3 days, smaller cities 4–5), and show the PKR shipping fee rather than hiding it at checkout. Pakistani customers abandon carts over surprise shipping charges more than any other single reason, and a feed that answers the COD question up front converts better than one that does not.

There is a second audience here that most stores ignore: diaspora buyers in the UK, US, and Gulf paying in dollars and pounds to send gifts home. A feed with clear PKR pricing, COD terms, and delivery windows answers their questions too — and AI assistants answering “where can I send a gift to Lahore with cash on delivery” can only recommend stores whose feeds state it. So what? The same clean data serves the Karachi buyer on COD and the London buyer on a card, from one file.

At this point, decide where your feed travels

A clean feed opens doors in order of cost. Google Shopping listings and Shopping ads are the entry point — 2026 ecommerce benchmarks put the average shopping click at just $0.66 globally, per Store Growers data compiled by JetFuel, and Pakistani clicks typically cost less. The next surface is the one this article started with: on September 10, 2026, Amazon announced it is piloting ChatGPT Ads through its DSP — a demand-side platform, the software advertisers use to buy ad space across many sites at once — including product feed ads that automatically create ad assets from a store’s catalog, as Search Engine Land reported. The pilot is US-only at launch, bought on a cost-per-click or cost-per-thousand-impressions basis, and OpenAI — not Amazon — controls which ads appear inside ChatGPT.

Two numbers explain why this matters to a store in Karachi or Lahore. OpenAI’s ad business hit $1 billion in annualized run-rate in late August 2026, across tens of thousands of advertisers, according to AI Weekly’s tracking. And ChatGPT reached about 900 million weekly users by February 2026, per OpenAI figures tracked by Keywords Everywhere. A shopping surface that big, funded by ads, reading catalogs as feeds — that is the direction. Pakistan is not in the ad pilot yet; when it opens, the stores already running clean feeds through Merchant Center will be first through the door, and AI shopping agents and Pakistani ecommerce setup covers what to prepare now. In the meantime, Amazon Ads’ own announcement is worth two minutes of any store owner’s time, because it states plainly where product visibility is heading.

Once the feed is live, give it eight weeks before Black Friday

Black Friday 2026 falls in late November, which means September is twelve weeks out — the window PPC Hero’s Black Friday 2026 planning treats as the real start of season preparation. An eight-week feed runway looks like this: weeks one and two, audit and clean the top 50 products; weeks three and four, Merchant Center approval and error fixes; weeks five and six, shopping campaigns at small budgets to gather data; weeks seven and eight, expand what converts and stage the discount plan. The stores that win Black Friday do it with September work, not November panic.

One decision to make now: which deals go in the feed, and which stay on the website. Feed prices must match landing-page prices exactly — a mismatch is a disapproval, and a disapproval during the biggest sales week of the year is the most expensive mistake in Pakistani ecommerce.

What this produces

A store that owns its feed controls its own visibility, and that is the quiet difference between the two paths Pakistani sellers choose between:

Selling only on DarazYour own store with a clean feed
Where you appearDaraz app and site onlyGoogle Shopping, Shopping ads, ChatGPT Shopping surfaces as they open
Customer dataDaraz owns the customerYou own every customer record
Cost of each saleCommission and closing fees on every orderAd spend you control, often cheaper per visitor
RulesMarketplace policy changes hit your margin overnightYou set prices, shipping, and COD terms
CeilingYou compete inside one bazaarYou compete wherever feeds are read

None of this requires abandoning Daraz. The strongest Pakistani sellers run both: Daraz for its traffic, their own feed-driven store for margin and customer data. The tradeoff is simply who owns the list — and the feed is what tips it to you.

At WeProms Digital, an ecommerce marketing agency in Pakistan, we build and clean feeds, set up Merchant Center, and run shopping campaigns for Shopify, WooCommerce, and Daraz-scale catalogs — and we start with the 50 products that carry your revenue, not the 5,000 that don’t. If your products are missing where your customers now shop, email hello@weproms.com, WhatsApp +92 300 0133399, or write through the contact page. The feed audit takes a week; the visibility it buys lasts the whole season.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a product feed in simple words?

A product feed is a file that lists everything you sell — product name, price, photo, stock status, and barcode — in a format shopping platforms can read automatically. Google Shopping, Shopping ads, and ChatGPT Shopping read that file to decide which products to show. If your items are not in the file, or the details are wrong, shoppers see your competitors instead.

Does ChatGPT Shopping work with cash on delivery?

ChatGPT Shopping recommends stores; the actual order still happens on your website, so COD works if your store supports it. The key is to state COD clearly in your product data and on your landing pages, because assistants and shoppers both filter out stores whose payment and delivery terms are unclear. Put “cash on delivery across Pakistan” in the description and shipping details of every product.

How much does it cost to fix a product feed in Pakistan?

Doing it yourself on Shopify or WooCommerce costs nothing but time — roughly four weekends for a mid-sized catalog. Agencies in Pakistan typically charge PKR 40,000 to 80,000 for a full feed cleanup and Merchant Center setup, depending on catalog size. WeProms Digital scopes this after a free look at your store’s current feed.

Do I need Merchant Center if I only sell on Daraz?

If you plan to stay Daraz-only forever, no. But Merchant Center is free, and it is the doorway to Google Shopping traffic and the emerging AI shopping surfaces that read product feeds. Most growing Pakistani sellers eventually run both: Daraz for marketplace traffic, and their own feed-driven store for higher margin and customer data.

How long before my products appear in shopping results?

A Merchant Center feed typically passes review within three to seven days, after which products can appear in Google Shopping within days. The AI shopping surfaces that draw from feeds update on their own schedules, which is why starting eight weeks before Black Friday gives a new feed time to be picked up everywhere.
